![]() I genuinely do not remember setting a hard drive password for my drive. After I performed that and rebooted, the laptop asked me for a hard drive password to enter the system. So, I was trying to factory reset an old Dell Inspiron 5459 ( Intel i7 - 6500u, Radeon M335, 16gb ddr4 1666mhz) because I had somehow lost all administrator control on my one and only administrator local account and I was getting a lot of bsod for things as simple as transferring data.
